Diana Povolotskaya

    Diana Povolotskaya was born in Moscow, Russia, and began her singing career performing with the Bolshoy Choir of the Central TV and Radio of the USSR, where she toured domestically and internationally for ten years. She obtained her degree in vocal performance from the High Music Institute of Ippolitov-Ivanov in Moscow, and after immigrating to the United States in 1992, sang professionally in New York, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Arizona, France, and Germany. In Tucson, Diana is the cantorial soloist at Congregation Chaverim, having previously served as a staff singer at the Temple Emanuel Synagogue and at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. She is a founder member of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra Chorus. Diana has performed with the Spire Chamber Ensemble in Kansas City, and in Tucson with Musica Sonora, AwenRising, and other local groups. She provides private lessons in both piano and voice, and she offers Russian language coaching for singers.
