ART CHANGES EVERYTHING:  Responding to the Climate Crisis through Science and Music
Date: Wednesday February 23, 2022
Time: Enjoy this panel any time on our YouTube Channel

No matter what path we have chosen we all have an impact and a role to play in our environment. Join us as the arts and sciences come together to discuss climate change and other environmental issues. This panel has a unique set of voices, offering a chance to discuss what is happening in our world right now, what we can expect to be doing, and how some are stepping out of the box to inspire care towards our planet through unexpected and artistic ways!

This panel will be mediated by Dr. Eve Shapiro and will feature Composer Jake Runestad, Poet Todd Boss, True Concord Founding Music Director Eric Holtan, SW CASC University Director Gregg Garfin and Rachel Zollinger, a Graduate Student from UA Carson Scholars selected by Director of Education and Outreach at Biosphere 2 Dr. Kevin Bonine.

True Concord Voices & Orchestra will be performing the world premiere of Runestad’s environmental piece, Earth Symphony (“Choral”), February 25-27th as part of our February program, also featuring Vivaldi Four Seasons. In this profound new work, Jake Runestad and poet Todd Boss have created a sweeping and compelling monologue of a mother (Mother Earth) telling the story of her children, humankind.
