Sandy Schwoebel holds BM, MM and DMA degrees in flute performance. She was Editor-in-Chief of The Flutist Quarterly for six years, and Consulting Editor and writer for Flute Talk magazine for three more. Sandy has a large private studio, teaches at Pima Community College, and worked for nine years as a Teaching Artist for TUSD’s innovative Opening Minds through the Arts Program (OMA Project). Additionally, she freelances as a soloist and section player with large ensembles throughout the Southwest, sometimes touring as far away as China. She served as a Grants Reviewer in Arts Education for the National Endowment for the Arts, and wrote a regular column for the New Zealand magazine Flute Focus.
